We currently collect personal information through two forms on the Certified Words website.

Contact Us

When you submit our Contact Us form, we may collect:

Join as a Translator

When you submit our translator registration/application form, we may collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Years of translation experience
• Source languages
• Target languages
• Practitioner or credential ID, if provided
• Credential type
• Credential expiry date, if provided
• Message or additional information

Although the translator application form may display a CV/file-upload field, Certified Words does not currently upload or store that file through our own systems unless the website is subsequently changed to provide that functionality.

2. Information We Do Not Collect Through Our Own Website

Certified Words does not currently provide user accounts or user login functionality on its own website.

Certified Words does not itself process payments for translation orders through its website.

When you proceed to the translation-ordering system provided through our website, the relevant order information, documents, payment information, and related transaction data are handled by the third-party platform providing that service. That platform is responsible for its own processing of such information under its applicable privacy policy and terms.

Certified Words does not itself upload or store the documents submitted through that translation-ordering system.

3. How We Use Information

We use information submitted through our own website for purposes including:

• responding to enquiries;
• communicating with people who contact us;
• reviewing translator applications and contacting prospective translators;
• maintaining records of enquiries and applications;
• operating, maintaining, and improving our website;

We do not use information submitted through our Contact Us or translator application forms for purposes unrelated to the operation of Certified Words without an appropriate basis for doing so.

Information submitted through our Contact Us and translator application forms is stored using Supabase, our database and backend service provider.

Access to this information is restricted through technical controls and is intended to be limited to purposes connected with operating Certified Words and responding to enquiries or applications.

We do not claim that any transmission or storage system is completely secure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we handle to protect it against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

5. Third-Party Services

Our website uses or may use third-party services to operate, secure, maintain, or analyse the website.

These currently include:

Supabase

We use Supabase to store information submitted through our Contact Us and translator application forms.

Cloudflare Turnstile

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect our forms against spam, automated submissions, and abuse. Turnstile may process technical information necessary to provide this security service.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website and to help us improve the website and its content.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information about website usage and device or browser activity.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor and understand the technical performance and visibility of our website in Google Search.

Search Console is a website-management and search-performance service and is not used by Certified Words as a customer-account system.

Translayte

Our website may provide access to a translation-ordering system operated through Translayte's white-label platform.

Translation orders, payments, uploaded documents, and related customer information handled through that system are processed through the third-party platform rather than through Certified Words' own database.
